Description of holiday apartment in Eski Foca, Aegean Coast

The flat is located on the first floor and is situated in an estate approx. 1.5 km south of the town centre. It comprises lounge, kitchen bedroom and bathroom.

There is a balcony facing the sea, and also a small terrace by the entrance on the opposite side of the house where you can enjoy the morning sun. Beside the building is a path down to the shared garden and swimming pool.

The flat is equipped with radio, colour television with local and satellite reception (eg BBC World, Euronews etc), ceiling fans, air conditioning, washing machines, microwave, hot plates and shower. You'll also find a water kettle, and in the bathroom an iron with an ironing table.

Towels and bedding are provided, and we can arrange for these to be replaced weekly at a small charge if you wish to have this done for you.

The nearest shop is about 100 metres away, and the nearest restaurant is at the beach, about 150 metres away. There are also a couple of hotels in the area where they serve hot meals.

The town centre is reached by a 20 minutes' easy walk along the sea promenade.

Location description

Eski Foca is a small fishing town, famous for its unspoiled athmosphere. There is a busy fishing fleet at the harbour,s that goes out to sea early in the morning and return in the afternoon. Every Tuesday there is a market where you can buy almost everything from food via jewelry to Turkish carpets. Bus station close for trips to Izmir and the main points of interest such as Pergamon, Ephesus etc.Local boat trips and ferry to Lesvos (2 hrs).

Other activities

Excellent beach free of charge.The 'gym' is an outdoor activity area with various installations for self-training. Much used by young and old after sunset.

Local events

Regular festivals and visits from folk dance/music groups from other Turkish areas or from abroad.

Tourist attractions

Excavation sites of ancient Greek theatre and other buildings. Sea, Sun and Superb Friendly Service.
