Location description

It has been founded as a fishing village Costa da Caparica and due to its location it is a perfect place for a holiday for those who admire the beautiful beaches and the proximity of the capital's old buildings. The place offers the curative treatments in the Thalassotherapy Centre, the broad and well-kept golf fields, and the car rental. The coast goes for many kilometres, up to the Lagoa da Albufeira Lagoon, and the beaches are decorated with little cottages - in some of them coffe bars and restaurants are operating. The seaside restaurants offer the grilling of freshly caught sea fish. During the summer, warm nights the fishermen organize the colourful and exotic dancing performances under the open sky - everyone is welcomed to come and participate. The fans of mountain trips will find a wonderful area for walking trips and cross-country cycling, only 2 km away.
Costa da Caparica is located by the sea, next to the longest and best known beach in the whole Lisbon area. In fact, this area has been for over 30 years the destination of choice for those living in Lisbon. Costa De Caparica is well known for its extensive sandy beaches (more than 25 km), for its wonderfully pure, crystal clear seas (Atlantic Ocean) and for the fine quality and superb taste of the fish and shellfish, which exist in large numbers in the region.
