Description of holiday apartment in Corralejo, Fuerteventura

This is a first floor apartment sleeping up to 4 guests with twin beds and a full sized double sofa bed. Furnished to a high standard in a modern style with everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday, it is set in a quieter part of the complex whilst still only a few steps away from the pool. The complex itself has a large freeform swimming pool with varying means of access sunbeds and umbrellas around the outside, childrens pool, tennis courts, an exercise room and well established gardens.

The apartment is bright and modern and has those extra finishing touches to make it a real home from home.

The bedroom has twin beds with room underneath for your suitcases so you do not have to leave them in your way or have to lift them on to the top of the wardrobe. The wardrobe is large and has plenty of hanging and shelf space for all of your belongings. It has sliding doors one of which is a full length mirror. I have also included a hairdryer for you to use, saving space in your suitcase. There is a Digital Safe provided free of charge. There is also a multi plug and plug adaptors allowing you to charge your mobile phone, camera, MP3 player etc.

The bathroom is light and airy and has shower, bidet, WC, sink and a large mirror. There is a power point for shaving. Bath and hand towels are provided for you.

The kitchen has wooden units and is well equipped with fridge, combination microwave, electric 2 ring hob, toaster, kettle, coffee jug, sandwich toaser and plenty of crockery, pans and cooking equipment, I have even included plastic cups, plastic wine glasses and a cool bag for you to take down to the pool area. The breakfast bar and stools allows for indoor dining should you prefer. There is also a washing machine for your use and you will find an airer and pegs outside in the covered area of the balcony.

The lounge area over looks the balcony and here you will find the large sofa which opens out to a full sized double bed, providing sleeping for a further 2 guests. The sideboard provides you with additional storage and in here you will find games for all ages, a few books.

There is a flat screen TV showing satellite freeview channels.

You will also find the Information Folder which I have put together to give guests details of the resort, the complex, day trips and places to visit.

The balcony is large and attracts the sun at various parts of the day depending on the season, it overlooks the garden areas and the table and chairs with cushions make it a perfect spot to sit and relax. There is a variety of birdlife in the complex, the Collared Doves nest in the tree nearby and a Hoopoe has been spotted in the gardens below. There is a covered area providing shade and under here you will find the clothes airer and some cleaning equipment.

The apartment will be cleaned prior to your stay and weekly thereafter. Bedlinen, bath, hand and tea towels are included all you need to bring is your beach towel.

You will be greeted at the complex by my English representatives who will show you to the apartment and hand over the keys.

Deposit/Booking Notes: A non refundable £60 deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance plus a refundable £60 security deposit is due 6 weeks prior to your holiday. This is refunded within 2 weeks of your return following a satisfactory report.

The price is for the apartment per week.

There are no hidden extras this includes bed linen, hand, bath and tea towels, cleaning prior to and following your stay, a mid clean for stays of over one week.

Location description

Residencial Las Dunas is located close to the Las Dunas National Park where there are miles of golden sands and blue seas for you to enjoy.

If shopping is more your thing then the El Campanario shopping centre is a 5 minute walk away. This lovely centre has some good shops and is laid out like an old fashioned village.

Further up the road you will come to the Baku park here you will find a water park, mini golf, small animal park, bowling and a twice weekly market.

The main Avendia leading through Corralejo is a 5 minute walk away and leads down to the harbour. Along the road you will find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops to keep you occupied for hours. There are so many restaurants you would need 6 months to work your way through them all and they cater for all tastes. My personal favourites can be found on the waters edge towards the harbour where you can spend hours with a glass of wine staring out to sea and over to the island of Los Lobos.

The old jetty still exists and is a popular spot for both tourists and locals to go fishing.

The area is surrounded by amazing beaches and is extremely popular for watersports with surfing, windsurfing, diving and kitesurfing being on offer. There are plenty of schools if you fancy trying something new.

Local events

Carnival - The Corralejo version of Mardi Gras takes place in early March and includes the crowning of the three queens - Girl, Woman and Drag!!

The annual kite festival takes place on Flag beach the 2nd weekend in November

Directions

Corralejo is a 30 minute drive from the airport where flights from the UK arrive on a regular basis.

You can catch a bus from the airport to Corralejo (requires a change in Puerto del Rosario) or catch a taxi. There are a number of car hire companies based at the airport so it is possible to pre book and collect your car when you arrive.

Alternatively it is possible to book a transfer to the complex via me before you depart, this costs €40 each way and is payable locally
