Situated in the old village Presbytery this studio was converted to offer a bright, modern space whilst still retaining the traditional feel of the property. Covering an area of 25m2, the owners have taken great care to make the very best of the space available, from the table that can be folded away and the built in wardrobes.

The clik-clak style sofa easily transforms into a comfortable double bed for two, and a folding bed is available for a third person if required. The open plan kitchen is separated by a breakfast bar, and has been equipped with a microwave, two hot plates, fridge with ice box and a washing machine in the separate laundry area shared with the apartment. There is also a separate shower room.

Outside, is a quaint terrace area arranged in the old Presbytery corridors where you can sit and watch the world go by, or enjoy your coffee and croissants in the morning before venturing out for a day sightseeing.

Location description

Situated at the very edge of the mountains against a backdrop of olive groves and looking out across the valley towards Calvi, the GR20, the 'Pennine Way' of Corsica that crosses the island from north to south starts in the village, as does the Mare e Monti Nord, making it popular with walkers. Village life centres around the Piazza Communa, the tree lined square which is home to the Baroque church of St. Blaise and its beautiful bell tower which was once the scene of a pitched battle in the struggle for independence. These days the village enjoys a much more peaceful way of life, and has a thriving crafts industry including cheese, honey, biscuits, cakes and sweets as well as wine, liqueurs, and even pottery!
