Rising Sun apartments and studios
The Rising Sun comprises 12 studios and 4 apartments and can sleep up to 40 people. Each studio accommodates two people. Apartments accommodate up to four people easily. Extra beds can be provided as required. All units come with dedicated bathroom and balcony.
The complex is fully equipped & air-conditioned and comes with a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, a children's area, a pool bar and free WiFi access. Close to the beach and only ten minutes away from the popular tourist resort 'Benitses', the RISING SUN is the no.1 place to be.
All of our rooms come with a beautiful view of both the Corfiat mountainside and Ionian Sea and are fully equipped and air-conditioned. RISING SUN is within walking distance from the nearest beach, however if you don't wish to separate from the refreshing drink found at the pool bar, you can always take a swim in the RISING SUN swimming pool.
With our free WiFi access you can stream the web and maybe finish...some last minute work or instead you can head down to the village centre where you will find traditional Greek restaurants and tavernas, kebab houses, coffee shops, bars and night clubs, two local supermarkets, a kiosk and of course tourist shops where you can pick up those holiday souvenirs! Besides the beautiful pebbled beach you can also visit the Benitses Shell Museum, an archaeological site of Roman ruins and a number of traditional Greek churches.
As the village is also connected to the mountains you could spend your day mountaineering and hiking, and who knows, maybe even find an abandoned church or two. Location description
The RISING SUN is situated in Benitses Tsaki and can be found 12km outside of the town of Corfu. The complex is just 20 minutes away by car/ bus from the Corfiat airport and only 1km away from the centre of the popular tourist resort 'Benitses'. The means of public transportation connecting the RISING SUN with general areas of interest such as the island's airport, port and the beautiful cultural town centre are the No 6 blue bus and 24 hour-running taxis.
Local events
Saint Marina's festival on the 16th and 17th of July. The village of Benitses hosts a two day festival during which traditional Corfiat music is played live, people from different villages come to enjoy the music and dance, lamb and souvlaki (kebab) are soled by the dozen, a street market is formed and street performers gather to entertain the people and mostly the children!
During the first days of August you can participate in the Sardine Festival held in Benitses, and meaning participate we mean eat as much fresh grilled fish as you can. Why? Because it is free and you'll need all the energy you can get in order to dance along to the live traditional Corfiat music!

All the beaches, Paleokastritsa beach, Aqua Land, Mouse Island, Achilleon Palace, the Old City, the town fortress and much much more..

"FANTASTIC HOLIDAY"
My partner and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the rising sun in Corfu... all i can say is FANTASTIC!!....everything from cleanliness to friendliness i give it 100% thumbs up...the swimming pool is amazing, the views from our balcony were out of this world, and glorious sunshine all day long, what more could we want, just a pity the holiday was only for a week (next year it will be 2 weeks)..would like to say a big hello to Paul the pool barman, he couldnt do enough for us and his knowledge of the island was incredible, thank you very much Paul for looking after us...see you next year...Linds and Den
