Welcome to Le Marche
And welcome to a different life, here in the rural countryside of Le Marche, Italy, surrounded by fields of vines olives and sunflowers, yet just 40 minutes from Ancona Airport.

Le Marche is perfectly placed between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains. The region - which has been called the new Tuscany or Umbria - boasts something for everyone; from rolling hills, olive groves, and medieval towns to snow-capped mountains and long, long sandy beaches

And if you want to savour living true Italian style, this is the place for you. For foodies, there are gastro delights to tempt the palate, whilst culture vultures will "oooh" and "aaah" at the sheer wealth of art and architecture to be found.

Try walking in the Sibillini Mountains, visiting the famous Frasassi caves, skiing in the winter. Check out the local market towns of Tolentino and Macerata with its open air opera festival or the beaches of Le Conero National Park.

If that's all too energetic, just relax by the pool and soak up the ambience. There are glorious views of the countryside and the mountains beyond.

You're going to love Le Marche
These charming old buildings have been completely rebuilt in traditional Italian style, using reclaimed terracotta tiles and original beams, and are furnished to a luxurious standard. There is satellite TV and Internet access, a swimming pool. Each property accommodates up to five people, (Girasole: 2) , however if you have very young children please contact us before booking.

Outside
There is a swimming pool (9 x 4.5m) with its own seating area and glorious uninterrupted views.
A covered outdoor bbq and sitting area near to the pool provides shade and an area to relax and eat outdoors.
A small shop provides everything you may need and we can do your shopping for you if you want to plan a bbq etc.

Location description

Set in a lovely open rural location just outside the towns of Appignano and Cingoli in the heart of Le Marche. Nearby there are towns of Tolentino and Macerata, and just 1km from an Aquafun park and a new outdoor tree adventure park at Cingoli. These villas and apartments have recently been totally rebuilt using the orginal stone and reclaimed chestnut beams and have been fitted out to a luxurious standard. The houses are situated just off a white road in total privacy and here you will find it easy to relax and enjoy true Italian life.

Coast/Beach
The beaches at Conero Riviera are just over 45 mins by car.
The small towns of Sirolo and Numana are traditional Italian beach resorts have wonderful seafood restaurants and beaches with parasols etc.
There are many small peaceful coves along this coastline to be discovered.
Further north there is the large beach resort of Senigallia with large sandy beaches, restaurants and nightlife!

Golf
There is a championship Golf Course at Conero just over 45 mins away.

Skiing
Skiing is just over one hour away at Sassotetto near Sarnano and also at Pintura near Bolognola. Further away are the resorts of Frontignano near Ussista and Monte Prato near to Castel San Angelo sul Nera.

Travel
Ancona airport is only 45 mins away along good quality roads. Fly direct from Stansted with Ryanair. Many other routes available. Also Rimini is only 1 1/2 hrs by car Ryanair from E.Midlands and Ryanair's flight to Bologna actually land at Forli just 2hrs away. A car is essential.

Distances
Appignano is just 3.5kms away. Cingoli 15 kms. Macerata 17kms. Treia 7kms. Lorreto 35kms.

Further details
The local village of Appignano has every shop you will need and also several bars a pizzeria and many good restaurants. The towns of Cingoli, Treia, Polenza are all with easy driving for restaurants etc. Also there are several country restaurants nearby serving excellent traditional Italian food.
In Le marche you have the option of doing nothing other than relaxing and immersing yourself in this quite rural area, but on the other hand there is so much to be discovered from small hill towns to the large towns of Macerata an Jesi.
The Sibillini National Park has many lakes, gorges and little villages to discover and of course the stunning Frassasi Caves.
Every possible activity can be found close by, biking, horse riding .walking, water sports, golfing and scuba diving.

We can organise ballon flights over Marche, and also for small groups we can arrange for a local chef to prepare a typical gourmet meal for you at our villas.

Local events

Local market on Thursday,Macerata Wednesday and Saturday.
There is always a festival taking place in a nearby local town throughout the summer!!

The historic towns of Cingoli,Macerata and Lorreto are all nearby also the beautiful mountains and lakes all wait to be discovered along with the caves at Frassasi and we are only 40kms to the beautiful beaches of the Conero.

Directions

Our holiday homes are only 40 minutes from Ancona airport, just outside Appignano and near to Cingoli. The area is called Campo di Bove.

From Ancona Airport:
As you walk out of the arrivals hall, directly ahead you will see the road ramp you take to leave the airport. If you’re picking up a hire car, you won’t be able to go directly up the ramp, but will have to turn right and take the first left down a small road to bring you back to the roundabout at the bottom of ramp.

From the ramp, head for Roma / Fabriano/Jesi on the SS76 dual carriageway — NOT the A14 motorway, so don’t follow the green signs.Keep to the right the junction for Roma/Fabriano is on a tight left hand bend

After 13 kms and you will leave the SS76 at the Jesi Centro exit.

Turn left going under bridge following signs for Fillotrano, Macerata until you come to a roundabout.Turn left towards Fillotrano /Macerata.

Keep straight on the SP362 past a petrol station on left.

After 5 kms you will come to a roundabout.

Turn sharp right following signs for Macerata, Fillotrano, Appignano (as a landmark, there is a bar on the right after turn).

After 2kms you will come to the town of P. Mussone (nice bar on right if you want to stop for a drink!).

After P Musone go up slight hill and you must turn right after approx 1/2km signposted for Cantalupo and also a brown sign with yellow writing for Verde Azzuro aqua park. Follow this road for 2kms until you arrive in Canatlupo

At the junction turn left again signed for Verde Azzuro and Fillotrano (should be a white warehouse on your left called Balera Ideal at junction)

Follow this road for 4kms and get ready to turn right when a grey wall comes into view on your right, this wall normally has advertising posters on it and also a cross in the wall right on the junction as you turn right,again it is signpposted for Verde Azzuro and Sanazzo (old blue sign)

Only 5kms to go!

You should now be on a wide, slightly uneven road.
Keep right, past a small church on right, and then a nice bar on right ((ok for drink etc.) until you come to T-junction.

Turn right following signs for Verde Azzuro, with grey silos on your left.

Get ready to turn left at the small junction following sign for S. Faustino, just after grey silos on right. (If you go past the Aqua Park Verde Azzuro, you’ve missed the junction so turn round and come back!)

Follow road over a small bridge.

At the next bridge turn left onto white/gravel road over bridge.

Follow white road for 1km (caution due to loose chippings).

After farm on right, take next right marked Casa Mille Fiore: you’ve arrived!

Note: If you are coming from any other airport, get on the A14 motorway and leave at the Ancona Nord junction. Head for Roma/Jesi on SS76 and follow the above instructions.
