Description of holiday apartment in Almerimar, Andalucia

Our apartment is in a great position overlooking the outdoor pools, tennis and paddle courts and situated close to the indoor spa facilities. As well as this, both the roof top solarium and the lounge terrace have views of the Mediterranean. These private outdoor spaces enjoy sunshine all day long and are a great place to unwind!

The apartments at Laguna Beach are surrounded by a naturally formed lake, two fantastic swimming pools and indoor spa facilities, backing on to a sandy beach. Our apartment is at the heart of Laguna Beach Resort and overlooks the tennis and paddle courts, the pools (seasonal opening times) and the seascape on the horizon. With the top floor position, spacious sun terrace with built in BBQ and outside kitchen facilities the apartment is a great place to spend your well-earned holiday.

Inside, the penthouse has been furnished to a high standard to help make your stay a comfortable one. The lounge has a large corner sofa, as you can see from the photographs and makes for a very comfortable afternoon siesta! Satellite TV has been installed and there is also a DVD player should you want a quiet evening in. Air conditioning has just been fitted so you can be sure that during the very hottest weather you can keep cool when you step inside.

Having been on a few self-catering holidays ourselves, we’ve made sure that the right utensils are in place in the kitchen, in particular a set of sharp knives, efficient oven gloves and good quality tea towels. We’ve made a few additional purchases this year, including some summer cookbooks (to give you inspiration with the BBQ food!) and some new fluffy white towels for a little bit of added luxury.

Nearby beaches and clear blue Mediterranean waters of this exquisite area with its magical coves, untouched beaches, pretty festive towns, beautiful uplands and snow covered mountainous backdrops, place you in your very own Laguna paradise.

A 30% deposit will be asked for when you book and then the balance will be due eight weeks before your holiday. If you are booking within eight weeks of arrival then we will ask for the full payment when you book. We ask for a £150 breakage deposit payable eight weeks before arrival. This will be refunded 7-14 days after your departure.

Location description

Laguna Beach is located to the East of Almerimar. This beautiful coastal harbour town is small and largely uncommercialised. It's home to one of Spain's largest marinas with in excess of 1400 berths.

Nestled between the Mediterranean on one side and the snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountains on the other, the town has slowly and traditionally developed around the Golf Course. The 18 hole course was designed by Gary Player and built in 1976, featuring wide fairways flanked by leafy trees.

The beaches are well maintained and stretch on for some 13km. There are Spanish Tapas bars, Chinese and Thai restaurants, Irish bars and many other good quality eating establishments.

The old fishing port town of Adra lies further west. In spite of the interesting castle and assorted archeological remains, it is often missed by tourists travelling along the coastal motorway to or from the Costa Tropical.

Ryanair and easyJet both fly to Almeria airport so take a look at their websites to get an idea of flight prices. Other airlines flying here include Monarch Airlines and Iberia and you can see an overview of them all at skyscanner.net. As an alternative to Almeria aiport you can fly in to Murcia, Alicante or Malaga and the transfer time to the penthouse is between two to three hours.
