Artemis Studios are quietly positioned on the outskirts of the village of Agia Roumeli and away from the route into the Samaria gorge.
We offer 12 delightful and tastefully decorated large studios of superior standard. Each studio is suitable for 2-5 persons and has a living-room/bedroom with an attractive dining corner. It has a pretty built-in kitchenette with a practical work bench, a shower/WC and one or two balconies. A wooden staircase leads to a sleeping gallery where there are either one double bed and one single bed or two built-in double beds, depending on the unit. The excellent interiors have stylish wood furniture and quality fittings.
The studios have individual air-conditioning units.
The pretty shingle beach is only 50 meters away and nearby in the village there are a few shops where you can buy whatever you need for your breakfast or for the beach.
The comfort and well-being of our guests is of great concern to us. We are a small family business and will personally take care of your needs and requests.
The owners, Roussos and Spiros Viglis were born in the old village of Agia Roumeli but the Viglis family originates from the village of Samaria, at the heart of the Samaria gorge.

Artemis Studios is located in Agia roumeli on the south west coast of Crete.Agia Roumeli is a very special and unique place with its genuine cretan background. It has strong character and soul surrounded by breath taking, wild mountains and a long beach of fine pebble by the clear Libyan sea.
The village is remote and a little isolated. You can only reach it on foot or by boat. There is no road.
In Agia Roumeli and its surroundings you can relax and switch off the outside world. You almost forget it exists. Here you can watch all the stars & the galaxies. The natural geographical position of Agia Roumeli aids this tranquil sensation.
The village is situated in one of the wildest regions of Crete and you could spend weeks exploring the region on foot, the gorge of Samaria and and the chapel of Agios Pavlos etc.
