Description of holiday apartment near Acharavi, Corfu

The apartment and adjoining cottage are accessed via a gated drive and are both on one level.Comfortably furnished, the apartment has 2 double bedrooms, open plan, high ceiling kitchen/dining/living room, and bathroom, with marble floors and mosquito blinds throughout. Sleeps 5, with 2 double beds and sofabed, egyptian cotton bedlinen and good quality mattresses.

The spacious cottage,(sleeps 2) part of which used to be the very first bakery in this area has one bedroom with super king size bed, large country style kitchen/diner, hall and lounge. The unique bathroom with sunken bath was originally the bread oven for the bakery and has been designed keeping the circular brickwork intact. It is all wonderfully cool in the height of summer, being on ground level and having marble and tiled floors throughout and furnished with both my own and Julian's artwork and sculpture.

Outside is a large pebbled parking area with dining/barbeque/seating area shaded by the olive trees. Above is a 100 square foot roof terrace, (secure with railings and gate for small children) and pool. There are beautiful views on all sides of the sea, Albanian mountains and inland to the mountains of Corfu.

My husband and I renovated the adjoining Bakery (the first in the area) which is now our family home, and are here to greet you upon your arrival and to help if you need us at any time.

Location description

Agios Martinos is a traditional Greek village located 3 km from Acharavi on the north coast of Corfu heading towards the mountains. The village is very friendly and the people welcoming and there are some beautiful walks to be found nearby. Acharavi, a couple of minutes drive away boasts everything you could need for a family holiday: tavernas, shops, bank, supermarket, internet cafe, beaches and a waterpark on the outskirts.
